DISCOGRAPHY:
i hope you understand
“i hope you understand” is a project based on my own personal experiences with a cycle of love, loss, heartbreak, and the reclamation of self. This is the father project to the 4 song “Man Down” EP that gained popularity on Spotify and other streaming services. The full project explores a range of traditional Hip Hop, Soulful R&B, and even a well blended pitstop over into psychedelic funk rock type vibes. For the complete story that the music tells, feel free to download the full project here, or stream what’s available on DSP’s.

Where Are We Going With This?
“Where Are We Going With This?” is a self reflective project I wrote when I was sitting at an emotional crossroads between pursuing music full time, or finding something more “stable” to do with my life. Sonically, this was also the beginning of my journey with mixing alternative rock, and traditional Hip Hop elements. Of all my work, I think artists in particular tend to resonate with these songs the most and I really think that’s cool, because if we’re being real here, I was just talking my shit on a personal level. The DELUXE version with full length songs is available for download, but you can also stream the short version on DSP’s.

EndPath
“EndPath” serves as an artistic self exploration with a cynical edge, a dystopian outlook on the world politically and socially, and what it means to exist between those two concepts. With the help of producer and engineer Dmajor, I can confidently say we’ve managed to blend hip hop and alternative rock elements in such a way that feels seamless. Side note this is my personal favorite, as far as cover images I’ve photographed go. (And yes, the Empath / EndPath play on words is deliberate.)

Young and Enlisted
“Young and Enlisted” is a satirical examination of some of the common themes a person deals with in the military. As a veteran of 8 years, I wanted to document some of my personal experiences in a comedic, digestible format, and the best way I knew how was through hip hop. The concept album uses very “on the nose” titles to illustrate the subject matter of each song, and a presentation that FEELS military down to the deliberate capitalization of each song name for uniformity sake. I was even pleased to find a spelling mistake in the song “tution assistance”, which was supposed to be “tuition” assistance. Given the irony, I decided to leave it as is.

Victoria
“Victoria” is part two of “#TheCrownVictoria” double release. It’s actually a traditional 2010’s style mix tape where I was able to be a lot more free with my production work, and think less about “getting it on streaming services.” It also features contributions from late producer DJ Swrv who sadly passed away in 2019. “Consipiracy Theories” would have never happened if not for his production work. #TheCrown
#TheCrown is part one of a double release fully entitled “#TheCrownVictoria”. Centered around my initial transition from civilian life into the military and some of the growing pains that encompassed. Album Artwork drawn by Kyana Mitchell.
